JB Engineering Services carried out an I.S Machine Section Exchange and I.S Machine Mechanism Removal, Repair & Replacement.
Our skilled engineers carried out an 8 section box exchange and; replaced all pipework for compressed air, contant cushioning and Lincoln lubrication lines. In addition to this planned installation, we removed all blowhead and baffle mechanisms on the 8 section I.S machine.
All client objectives were completed on time within 14 days. Our engineers worked in a tough, humid and noisy environment over 12 hour days to ensure this project was completed properly with the additional job getting done too.
Scope as follows:
- Prepare tool and specialised lifting equipment, carry out detailed assessment on our procedures and identify any potential hazards to consider and eliminate.
- Unwrap new section boxes and materials, remove blowhead, baffle and takeout Mechanisms aswell as the 21 way valve block ready for transportation and fitting.
- Isolation of L12 Machine disconnection of all air, electrical and fluid services.
- Removal of the I.S Machine conveyor – to be overhauled and modified within the workshop.
- Removal of the existing section boxes.
- Cleaning and preparation of the existing machine.
- Modifications and installations of new manifold to blow and blankside.
- Controlled installation of new Section boxes.
- Installation of Mechanisms to all sections.
- The manufacture of all solid pipework to all sections for main air, pilot air, constant cushioning and Lincoln lubrication systems.
- The installation of refurbished machine conveyor.
- The reconnection of other air services for mould and conveyor cooling.
- Cold start up of the I.S Machine and testing of operation.
- Machine started in full production.
